About the Event
Public Theologian, Historian, Activist, Social Critic, and Educator, Ruby Sales joined the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) as a teenager and has worked for racial justice ever since. She's well known in national media circles and has won a plethora of national awards. Her full bio below shows her to be a lifelong leading voice for healing the pain of racial division. Residing now in Charlotte, she's agreed to gather with us via Zoom not for a lecture but for a conversation, reflecting especially on how we find strength and sustenance in hard times (Spoiler alert: It's NOT something we can do alone!)
This is truly a rare opportunity to talk and share hard-won wisdom with one of the greats, someone who knows well the pain and the joy of working for a purpose greater than yourself.
