INTERFAITH COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

MeckMIN offers several community programs that encourage interfaith collaboration.

ANNUAL COMMUNITY-WIDE
INTERFAITH FRIENDSGIVING SERVICE

For fifty years, Mecklenburg County’s diverse faith communities have gathered each fall in a spirit of unity, gratitude, and service. What began in 1975 as one of the Southeast’s first interfaith Thanksgiving services—initiated by Rev. Dr. Sidney Freeman of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Charlotte and Rabbi Harold Krantzler of Temple Beth El—has blossomed into a vibrant annual tradition. Now reimagined as the Mecklenburg Interfaith Friendsgiving, this celebration reflects the rich cultural diversity and deepening interfaith connections of the region and takes place one week before Thanksgiving.

INTERFAITH SERVICE PROJECTS

Interfaith projects that build awareness of the needs of our communities and promote relationship building with those whom we serve.

INTERFAITH YOUTH  PROGRAMS

Our Interfaith Youth Programs are geared toward middle and high school students interested in connecting with youth from different houses of faith to foster interfaith relationships, develop leadership skills, and participate in community service projects.

FAITH CLUB

4th Wednesday of every month

7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. |

The Faith Club is MeckMin's interfaith book group, composed of women of all faiths who gather to discuss books and other materials of a spiritual nature. We have found that sharing our faith journeys and practices is a rich experience.

Meetings are held at Park Road Baptist Church (3900 Park Rd, Charlotte 28209) from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

This is a great opportunity to learn about each other's faith and to make lasting friendships. The group shares leadership: Gaie Gegg
