INTERFAITH HARMONY MONTH
Interfaith Month.png

MeckMIN invites faith communities across Mecklenburg County to participate in Interfaith Harmony Month this February 2026 by hosting events that foster understanding, connection, and collaboration.

The goal is to create a series of events across the month that promote the values of interfaith bridgebuilding by providing wonderfully diverse opportunities for our communities to get to know one another in engaging ways.

We encourage people/groups to host their own in person or virtual faith/interfaith events

and open their doors to the wider interfaith community.

Step 1

Plan an event that highlights your faith or some aspect of it in a way that will be welcoming to visitors and/or that celebrates connections and collaborations between faiths.

This could be an event you already have planned or an event you plan especially for this project.

Step 2

Welcome anyone who would like to participate in your event or service, and refrain from recruiting or proselytizing visitors.

LOOKING FOR A SPEAKER?

MeckMIN is always happy to help connect groups with local speakers.

We have members who are Bahá’í, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Science of Mind, Sikh, and Unitarian Universalist who can speak to those specific traditions.
We also have connections to a variety of other faiths as well as specific cultures and traditions.
We can also help you find someone who can offer a more general introduction to interfaith work and/or speak to specific topics such as gender, sexuality, climate care, health care, race and more.
