About the Event

All are invited to participate in an information and feedback session as part of the work of the 2025 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Housing and Homelessness Strategy (CMHHS).

CMHHS is the first comprehensive effort to address housing instability and homelessness in Charlotte-Mecklenburg involving the public, private, and non-profit sectors.  Since the launch of CMHHS in April 2021, over 250 individuals and 115 organizations have participated in the planning and development work.  Nine workstreams have been working to draft recommendations informed by research and best practices.

The vision of CMHHS is that "Homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring in Charlotte-Mecklenburg. And, that every person has access to permanent, affordable housing and the resources to sustain it."

Our faith communities have been, are now, and will be extensively involved in ministries and advocacy around affordable housing and homelessness.  Our voices and experiences are crucial to this plan.  Now we want to hear your reflections, questions, and suggestions.

Please join us for this informative hour of discussion of this plan so far and the sharing of wisdom from our unique perspective.

Rev. Dr. Val Rosenquist
