About the Event
Join Voice of the Faithful Charlotte, a non-profit, multi-parish Catholic laity group advocating for accountability, transparency, and reform within the Catholic Church and MeckMIN as they co-sponsor a panel on "Affirming the Role of Women in Our Diverse Faith Communities," on Sunday, October 6, from 2 to 4 PM, at Queens University's Belk Chapel.
Come and listen to a panel of women from Christian (Protestant and Catholic), Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, and Sikh traditions speak on the current status and ministerial roles (whether clergy or lay) of women in houses of worship in the Charlotte area.
Even more importantly, the purpose of the panel is to envision ways to equalize women's and men's presence in our faith communities.
