The Annual MeckMIN Community-Wide Interfaith Thanksgiving Service, to be held virtually on Tuesday, November 23 at 7:00 pm, will be a beautiful, energetic celebration of the power of ART, GRATITUDE and HEALING in the midst of challenge and struggle.

With the theme The Art of Gratitude and the Heart of Healing, we will incorporate YOUR creativity of all kinds.

We invite you to submit a piece of virtual art:

  • Photography

  • Prerecorded performance piece (such as music, dance, spoken word) that speaks to the themes of GRATITUDE and HEALING for consideration.

If you have another type of piece that conveys the theme, we’re eager to hear about it. We’re open to creativity of ALL types.

If you have an existing piece that fits the theme that’s been used in other venues, we welcome that also. If you will be recording a new piece, we ask that you use all Covid precautions when taping.

So that we can choose numerous pieces to represent the full diversity of our community, performance pieces should be no longer than 3 minutes.

Individuals and groups are welcome to submit. We’d be DELIGHTED to get submissions from youth and children as well.

If you have a proposed piece that is not yet recorded, you can submit a detailed description of what you’d like to do.

If selected, you can choose to have your portion of the service professionally recorded at Myers Park Baptist Church by their Director of Audio and Visual Productions.

SUBMISSIONS OR WRITTEN PROPOSALS ARE DUE BY FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8!

Please contact us at meckmin@meckmin.org to get instructions on making a submission.
