Legacy of Segregation and its Continued Impact

MeckMIN and the Charlotte Clergy Coalition for Justice are teaming up to discuss the roots of segregation in the Queen City. Despite imagining itself as a beacon of the New South, Charlotte remains a tale of two cities: one wealthy and white and the other poor and minority. Built on slavery and saddled with a racially complicated past, Charlotte continues to struggle with its Old South legacy. On the Table 2018 is an opportunity to discuss ways we can explore this legacy and build an equitable community. Join us at the table.
