Conversations at the Crossroads: Building Trust Across the Faith Community
Mecklenburg Ministries and Crossroads Xchange Sermons series has been a great success thanks to the involvement and enthusiastic participation of so many congregations across the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community. As co-chairs of this year's series, we would like to invite you and your congregation to the series' concluding event on Tuesday, March 16th at Park Road Baptist Church entitled "Conversations at the Crossroads: Building Trust Across the Faith Community." We will explore how our houses of faith can continue to inspire trust in the community, building on the wonderful sharing of the Xchange Sermons experience. Refreshments will be served at 5:30, and discussion will begin at 6:30. For more information, go to www.crossroadscharlotte.com/xchangesermons

City-wide Sermon Xchange
Mecklenburg Ministries and Crossroads Charlotte are co-sponsoring this Sermon Xchange program that aims to bring together diverse congregations to create an exchange of ideas and a call to action. With an overall theme of improving racial and ethnic understanding, the exchanges launched January 15th, 2010, in honor of Martin Luther King weekend. In the spirit of Dr. King, the main objective is to foster connections and conversations across lines of difference including race and religion, and to inspire fellow Charlotteans to join forces to build a better future.
