Deepen your Friday Friend Relationship

with an InnerChange experience!

Who:  Friday Friends Program Participants (new and potential) who have participated in an InnerChange in the past – or in similar bridge building work.

What:  A 4-hour program of Mecklenburg Ministries in which people of different races, religions, and backgrounds will come together to:

·        Exchange views of privilege, power and prejudice;

·        Interact through structured exercise and personal storytelling;

·        Share visions for the future of our community;

·        Have fun and get to know one another;

·        Explore ways to move past differences to respect, understanding, appreciation, and   

         deeper self-awareness.

When:  Sunday, June 27, 2 pm – 6 pm

Where:  Park Road Baptist Church (pre-registration required.)

Why:  Friday Friends is a program for people committed to building inter-group trust in our community.  This special session of InnerChange is being offered for Friday Friends or those who want to become Friday Friends who have already done some personal work in diversity and would like to take this deeper.  Join because you welcome exploring important issues in a dynamic, small-group, intercultural setting, and are open to the free exchange of ideas opinions and experiences – and the possibility of inner change.

Cost:  $10/person (for materials and refreshments – scholarships available)

Mecklenburg Ministries has received funding from the Charlotte Mecklenburg Community Foundation through its Front Porch Grants program, which is managed by Community Building Initiative. The program is an effort to build informal social capital within our community.
