Food for Thought Lunch - Keeping Our Kids Safe: The Role of Faith Communities in Tackling Underage Drinking

April is alcohol awareness month. Did you know that alcohol is the most widely used substance of abuse among youth in Mecklenburg County? Students are drinking too early, too much and too often. This presentation will provide faith leaders with an overview of the problem and local trends. Faith leaders will learn what role they, as well as the members of their congregations, can take to reduce underage drinking among the youth of our community. Resources available to faith groups will be presented to help us tackle this issue together.
